In our neighbourhood Hallwang there are plenty of possibilities to go hiking or cycling. Furthermore, you can go on a pilgrimage to the famous basilica of Maria Plain, which is situated in the next village. Visit also our nearby mountains: Gaisberg, Mönchsberg and Kapuzinerberg or enjoy a walk on Dax Lueg.

Not only the fortress of Hohen Salzburg counts to the oldest castles of europe, also the fortress of Hohenwerfen that is a 40 minutes drive away is worth a visit. The medieval fortress is famous for its performances with birds of prey such as domestic eagles and falcons.

In Austria you can discover the worlds oldest salt mines. Only a 20 minutes car drive away are the salt mines of Hallein and in one hour you can reach the ones of Hallstatt.

In winter as well as in the summer the mountain range of Dachstein is worth a visit. During the winter months shuttle busses can bring you to the ski region from the city. During the summer months you can visit the platform “5Fingers” that gives you a magnificent view on Hallstatt and the Salzkammergut.
